First order phase transition rounded by disorder

This is an interesting work, which concludes that, an arbitrary addition of random perturbation shall erase the discontinuity that might otherwise exist of the order parameter (namely, the polarization) as a function of the conjugate field in a quantum spin system. In other words, the delta peak in susceptibility shall be rounded in the presence of random perturbations. It turns out that, the conditions are the same as for classical systems.
